MYGolf National Junior Program
The MyGolf National Skills Challenge and Awards Program is a resource that is available for clubs to use with the objective of increasing the number of girls and boys playing golf within Australia.

The wider objectives of the program are to increase the appeal and lift the profile of golf to juniors and to encourage a “recruitment” and “growth” culture within clubs. In addition, the program seeks to expand the pool of adult volunteers who actively contribute to the growth of junior golf and to develop a varied calendar of junior activities, competitions and coaching opportunities.

Coaching Accreditation - Community Golf Coaching 1 Course

“Give something back to the community”

Golf coaching can be a very rewarding experience for both the player trying to improve their skills, and the coach assisting in the development of a golfer. Coaches are integral in golf because they often provide the first experience for beginners and are vital in developing golfers of all standards.

The Community Coaching Course is designed for the beginner/intermediate coach and represents a pathway into the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme. The target group includes schoolteachers, golf club personnel and volunteers, parents and late secondary and tertiary students, interested in developing golf within their community. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid general coaching principles certificate.
The course expands on the basic skills of golf. It also covers the role of the coach, physical and mental preparation, safety, and organisation. Participants are required to undertake a practical assessment during the coaching course to achieve their accreditation.
