2012 INTER-ZONE JUNIOR PENNANTS
FINAL ROUND


The Central Queensland Inter-zone Junior Pennants were held last Sunday at the Capricorn Country Club. The Curtis zone has now won the tournament back to back, after they defeated the Keppel zone 13 to 11, with Keppel zone winning the second round 7 & 5 after they went down to the Curtis zone in the first round 8 & 4.




The boy’s winners in the second for Keppel were: Rowan Coombes 3 & 2, over Jay Clampett, Tanner Ward 4 & 3, over Joel Spencer, Ben Swaffield won on the 19th over Cameron Lord. With Tory Edmistone in the girls winning 4 & 3 over Lily McKelvie, Kiera King 5 & 4 over Hannah Edmondstone, Sarah Antcliff 1 up over Georgia McManus, Sarah Weston 3 & 2 over Jacinta Lang. In the Curtis Zone Jamie Kleinhannss won on the 21st hole over Caine Hendy, Rhian Hamilton won on a forfeit, Jayden Bayliss 3 & 2 over Cohen Wassell, Ryan Stitt 2 up of Brandon Ingram. In the girls Morgan Lewis won 5 & 3.


2012 JUNIOR JUG TEAM


The junior girls who were nominated for the 2012 Junior Jug Team will have to wait for the selectors to select the three girl’s teams as the selectors want more time to ensure that they have the right team for this year’s Junior Jug which is being played at the Yeppoon Golf Club in June. 


CENTRAL QUEENSLAND INTER-SCHOOL GOLF CHALLENGE

Rockhampton Golf Club recently hosted the first round of the 2012 Central Queensland Inter-school Golf Challenge, with school students traveling to Rockhampton representing their schools from Mackay, Emerald, Dysart and Blackwater, Gladstone and Calliope. Ninety players have been nominated to compete in the event in the 9 and 18 hole division for girls and boys.
