Woodford Golf Club Joins MYGolf

Woodford Golf Club has decided to make junior golf one of its major priorities this year and into the future. It is participating in the National Junior Coaching program ‘MyGolf’ and has decided to wholeheartedly support that national initiative – locally.

Club resources are being directed to set up and provide ongoing support for this initiative on behalf of young golfers throughout the region.

To increase awareness in the region, the Club held a Junior Forum that highlighted the program and not only the substantial benefits to junior players but also potential long term members of the Club.

The program has also been launched at the local schools with assistance of Lee Harrington of Golf Queensland. Lee was buoyed by the initial interest in the ‘MyGolf’ program and local PGA professional, Paul Cook, has already planned the coaching program for the year.

President Graham Bleakley was also pleased to announce that the Club has secured a $4,261.62 grant from Moreton Bay Regional Council to support the program.
